Two Palestinian boys, aged six and 11, were killed and three wounded in a shooting early Sunday in the West Bank city of Hebron, the Israeli military said.
A police source said the incident took place in the village of Beit Furik, near the northern town of Nablus, about 20 kilometers (12 miles) south of Hebrons city center.
It wasn’t immediately clear how many Palestinians were involved.
The two children were killed in a shootout with police, the military said in a statement.
Two more Palestinian children, aged 13 and 12, were wounded, it said.
The military didn’t specify how many.
The Hebron operation is the third of its kind in the past year, the latest of which was on April 4 when an Israeli policeman was killed by Palestinians near a checkpoint in the occupied West Bank.
