A high school senior at South Bend High School has told a local TV station that she was in “a rage” after her bathroom break because she was upset that someone was changing her bathroom tiles and her roommate was wearing an “offensive” outfit.
According to WSBTV, Sarah Eagan, a senior, said she was walking out of her room one day on her way to class, only to be confronted by two girls who approached her in a manner that made her feel “disturbed and angry.”
Eagan said she had been changing the tiles, which were on the floor, when she saw two girls coming towards her, one wearing a mask and the other wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.
Eagan told WSBtv that she tried to tell the girls to leave her room, but they ignored her.
“I just wanted to go to class and be safe,” she said.
After she exited her room and walked to her locker, Eagan said the girl who was wearing the hat reached over and “turned the lights on.”
She said the “bitch” then “started screaming at me” and said, “I was going to call the police.”
“I thought it was just some kind of joke, but when I walked out of the bathroom I felt like I was in the middle of the most violent, disgusting, disgusting place I had ever been in my life,” Eagan told the station.
Eagen’s roommate was also wearing the “Make American Great Again hat,” and she too felt the “intense, horrible feeling” of being “harassed.”
Eagons family members called police, who arrested two students who allegedly assaulted her.
